The best season to take a cricket tour to the UK is during May to September within the warmer summer season in the northern hemisphere. For school sports tours the best time is between May and the middle of July, due to the fact that schools break up for the summer holidays from mid-July.

Best time to travel?

It is recommended to visit the West and South Coast between December and March and the East Coast in April to September. The Monsoon periods are between May and September in the South West and between October and January in in the Northeast.


Recommended airlines with reasonable fares include Emirates Airways via Dubai, Qatar Airways via Doha and Sri Lankan Airlines.  Sri Lanka has a good road network and travelling between cities and towns can be done easily by luxury coaches.
